We are very proud that we can offer another degree plan that will give students the choice between a capstone project and an applied experience in an internship course. We are also working on changing the research sequence for the PhD specializations. Below is the current research sequence: Following the guidance of our research professors, dissertation chairs, and our PAC members, we made some changes to the research sequence for all PhD specializations. We decided to move PSY-7105-8 Tests and Measurements out of the research sequence and make it a required core course. In addition, we decided the move PSY-7107 Statistics II to the pool of elective courses, which is more in line with the needs of our students. In implementing these changes, students will now have at least one elective course in each of the PhD specializations, which I hope will further improve student experience and better reflect student needs. Preparations are in full gear for this year's symposium and graduation. I am looking forward to both, and I especially love the two days where we have the chance to meet students and families in person. These two days are full of pride, happiness, joy, and celebration. For the symposium we are currently working on developing the SSBS and department breakout sessions. If you have any ideas for the department breakout sessions, please let me know. Thanks to each of you for all the support and engagement you provide for our students. Because of your work and engagement, this is a great department and a great place for our students to learn and grow. The new research sequence will be: PSY7103 PSY7104 PSY7105-8 PSY7106 PSY7107 PSY7108 PSY7109 Research Methods Statistics I Tests and Measurements Quantitative Research Design Statistics II Qualitative Research Design Planning Dissertation Research in Psychology Course Code Title PSY7103 PSY7104 PSY7110 PSY7111 PSY7112 Research Methods Statistics I Introduction to Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis and Design Advanced Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis and Design Research Design Planning Course Code Title
