Happy New Year!
Thanks to all of your efforts, hard work and caring, 2018 was another great year for the
Department. In the beginning of the year, we set out to accomplish a lot and we did.
In July of 2018 we launched our 5th MS program, the Master of Science in Educational Psychology.
During 2018 we hired two accomplished full-time professors, Dr. Pitchford and Dr. McNamara.
Welcome to both of you. We are glad that you joined the team.
2018 was another year of great curriculum projects, ranging from course revisions and creating
new courses to creating proprietary curriculum content. It is our plan to integrate the proprietary
curriculum content you created over the last 18 months into the curriculum in 2019. Thanks to
everyone involved in a curriculum project. It is greatly appreciated.
Last year we also hit another landmark. In the third quarter (Q3), we had the highest number of
students ever enrolled in psychology programs at NCU. This is a great testament to the excellence of
your work and the quality of the programs.
