Honor Society As an education student at Northcentral University, you will be encouraged to become part of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP). KDP is an international honor society for education, and one of the largest and most prestigious education honor societies in the world. KDP was established to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. The founders chose the name to represent knowledge, duty and power. The NCU chapter of KDP is Alpha Delta Epsilon (ADE), and it initiates members bi-annually. ADE was installed at NCU on June 15, 2007, as the first chapter chartered by KDP at an online university. STUDENT GROUPS Student Advisory Committee The Student Advisory Committee meets quarterly to discuss concerns brought by School of Education students. The members of the Student Advisory Council provide NCU professors and staff with essential accounts of student needs and ideas for the School. Council members serve two-year terms and participate in quarterly meetings with leaders and team members of the School of Education. 29
