MASTER'S PROGRAM Available Specializations: • Athletic Coaching • Curriculum and Teaching • Early Childhood Education • E-learning • English Language Learning • Reading Education • Special Education • Sports Management Master of Arts in Teaching Northcentral University's Master of Arts in Teaching program will help you gain the knowledge you need to enter the classroom and lead your students to success. Our comprehensive program is for applicants that already have an alternative teacher certification and want to enhance their skills and knowledge in their current education career. This program is designed by industry experts to ensure that it accurately reflects the needs of today's classroom. You will study important areas such as the foundations of teaching, planning and assessments, technology for the classroom and how to support diverse learners. Additionally, you can select from eight areas of specialization, allowing you to tailor your education to fit your interests. This program is aligned with the standards of the Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) to ensure a high level of proficiency in critical areas. It is an ideal program for those with a non-education degree and an alternative teacher certification who are interested in pursuing graduate studies with a focus on teaching within an area of specialization. TeacherReady ® and Alternative Certification Programs Graduates of the TeacherReady® alternative certification program will receive 9 credit hours toward this degree, for a total of 33 credit hours, 24 completed at NCU. Graduates from other alternative certification programs may also be considered, pending transcript review.
