JAMES BILLINGS, PhD Dean School of Social and Behavioral Sciences Welcome to Northcentral University's School of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SSBS). Our School provides professionals throughout the world with educational opportunities to acquire the knowledge, skills and values integral to individuals within the social and behavioral sciences. SSBS is composed of two departments – Marriage and Family Sciences and Psychology. Our programs are designed to meet the highest standards in these fields. The Department of Marriage and Family Sciences offers doctoral, master's and post-graduate certificate programs. The Department of Psychology offers doctoral, master's and post-graduate certificate programs as well as a bachelor's degree program. Programs in SSBS prepare you to pursue a variety of career options. Our alumni work in many settings, including government agencies, private practice, nonprofits, hospitals, military, universities, and public school systems. NCU continually updates our course offerings to remain current with industry trends and the evolving challenges of working in the social and behavioral sciences field. We use a unique one-to-one learning model where you will be mentored in each course by a doctoral professor who has walked the path that you are on now, and can share insights during your exciting academic journey.
