Department of Marriage and Family Sciences We continue to implement changes in the PhD MFT, based on the programmatic accreditation requirements from COAMFTE. New courses are being developed in these new specializations: • Education and Supervision • Systemic Leadership • Culture, Diversity, and Social Justice in Global Context Department of Psychology We continue to revise courses from 12 to 8 weeks in the PhD PSY specializations. In addition, the Industrial/Organization Psychology PhD Program is being revised to become compliant with SIOP (Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology) guidelines. Suggestions for Improvement from Faculty I would like to thank all faculty who are sending suggestions for course improvement. Currently, we have a list of courses that have been confirmed for major revisions and development for 2019. This means that if the proposed revisions will imply significant changes to the course, they will probably need to be completed in 2020. However, if changes bring forward some minor clarifications, they can be implemented as a hotfix in a relatively short timeline. If the changes are more substantive, I will keep your feedback and incorporate it in the next course revisions. Thank you again! Yulia Watters, PhD | Curriculum Director, SSBS If you have not been involved in curriculum development and are interested in serving as a SME or learning more about the process, please contact me at ywatters@ncu.edu. Thank you!
