Aurelia Bickler, PhD, LMFT Full-Time Faculty, Department of Marriage and Family Sciences Dr. Aurélia Bickler is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an AAMFT and State Approved Supervisor. Dr. Bickler is also certified in hypnotherapy. She received her master's and PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Given that teaching is one of her greatest passions, Aurélia began her journey in 2013 as an adjunct-professor at Nova Southeastern University and in 2014 at Northcentral University. In 2015, Dr. Bickler joined NCU as a full-time professor and clinical supervisor. Aurélia contributed to NCU's most recent faculty authored book, "An introduction to MFT Systems Theory and Foundational Models" by writing the chapter on "Contextual Family Therapy." Earlier in her career, Dr. Bickler worked as the Executive Director of S.U.P.E.R.B. (Students United with Parents and Educators to Resolve Bullying). Having expertise in bullying prevention, detection, assessment, and resolution, Aurélia continues to be a great resource for Broward County's youth. In 2011, Dr. Bickler founded Changing Forward, LLC to provide individuals, couples, and families a safe place to transition toward their individualized "Forward." Her center offers therapeutic services, hypnosis, nutrition coaching, mediation, and yoga. Dr. Bickler also supervises several registered Marriage and Family Therapy Interns toward state licensure, many of whom work at Changing Forward, LLC. Being born and raised in Paris, France, Aurélia is fluent in French and English. She is also conversational in Spanish and Hebrew. Aurélia resides in Parkland, Florida with her husband Marcus, three children, Mayim (7yo), Elodie (4yo), and Five Elijah (11 months old), two rescued dogs, Picasso and Toulouse, and a Pineapple Green-Cheeked Conure, Gatsby. Art, music, and travels make Aurélia feel most alive. Having expertise in bullying prevention, detection, assessment, and resolution, Aurélia continues to be a great resource for Broward County's youth. 4
