Vocational Education
In 2009, both NCU's Master of Arts in Marriage and
Family Therapy and Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage
and Family Therapy were approved by the Arizona
State Board as stand-alone programs in family therapy
rather than as programs in psychology.
California Board of Behavioral Sciences
The distinguished body for recognizing marriage
and family therapy education in the state of California
pre-approved NCU's MAMFT program as meeting
the educational requirements for licensing marriage
and family therapists in California.
International Accreditation Commission
for Systemic Therapy Education
The semi-autonomous body under the International
Family Therapy Association focuses on the development
and implementation of quality standards for programs
worldwide that provide systemic therapy education and
training with the goal to enhance the development of
professionals who will provide systemic therapy for
individuals, couples, and families where they live
and work.
