Dr. Joel B. Goodin will be speaking in our professional series on the field of educational
psychology. He earned a BS in Psychology (University of Arkansas), an MS and EdS in
Counseling and Human Systems, and a PhD in Educational Psychology (Florida State University).
Prior to serving students at Northcentral University, he taught at Florida State University,
Tallahassee Community College, and Athens State University. He also coordinated research
and curriculum at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he was awarded
several grants while contributing scholarly articles and presentations. He has built a reputation as
an expert in technology-enhanced education and training and serves as a leader in educational
expertise, theory- and research-driven applications to pedagogy and curriculum, and increasing
human connection in online educational environments. He also serves his community as a life
coach and organizational consultant and assists in caregiver advocacy education, addiction
counseling, child advocacy, at-risk populations, and curriculum development to support the
Arkansas state government and a national medical organization.
