It is indeed with much enthusiasm and appreciation that I write to you as
the new student editor of the NCUPA newsletter. Currently, I am enrolled in the Department
of Psychology 's PhD in psychology program and I am thrilled my first chapter was recently
approved. My prior educational experiences have led me to achieve a bachelor's degree in
economics from the University of Michigan as well as two master's degrees: one in psychology
and another in elementary education. Given I am a certified elementary school teacher, my
research interests mainly revolve around the field of education.
In this role as student editor, my main hope is to help facilitate and encourage student interest
as we all progress through our educational journey. Furthermore, I look forward to collaborating
with writing ideas as well as generally assisting the main editors, Drs. Pitchford and Wright,
in evaluating submissions and providing perspectives. I anticipate the newsletter will play
an instrumental role in providing current NCU students with guidance, from the provision of
dissertation resources, such as literature review development, to career placement options as
students look forward to the graduation stage.
Let's all have a wonderful school year!
