MFT Clinical Support Course
In the middle of 2019, the Clinical Administrative team
launched "MFT Clinical Support." Housed on the same
platform as their courses, this module features information
and resources for every stage of a student's clinical
experience at NCU. This includes resources as they prepare
to find a site, resources once they are working in Tevera,
and resources when they are seeing clients and enrolled in
courses.
Looking ahead, we hope to add a section to assist students
once they graduate. Initial plans include resources on the
national exam and the business side of being a clinician.
Please send us any resources that have been helpful for you
in your career to clinical@ncu.edu.
Added Specializations
We have added specializations to our programs that most
students have the option to take. Having a specialization
featured on a student's diploma and transcript involves them
taking specific courses and engaging in at least 100 clinical
hours that are consistent with their specialization. If students
take the courses but do not receive the needed clinical
hours, they receive a certificate indicating their training upon
graduation.
Our current specializations in the MAMFT program include:
•
Child and Adolescent Family Therapy
•
Couple Therapy
•
General Family Therapy
•
LGBTQ Couple and Family Therapy
•
Medical Family Therapy
•
Military Family Therapy
•
Systemic Sex Therapy
•
Systemic Treatment of Addiction
•
