We will continue to provide necessary updates to the NCU community as the impacts
of the COVID-19 pandemic unfold. We encourage all faculty and staff to utilize the
available resources and stay in close contact with your direct leader if anything should
happen to you. We are all in this together, and we will all be together once this has
passed. A list of available resources is below.

HUMAN RESOURCES
& BENEFITS
Medical Coverage
Cigna and other providers are implementing cost reductions and making it easier for
participants to receive testing and seek medical care related to COVID-19.
Health Savings Accounts/Health Care Flexible
Spending Accounts
Over-the-counter drugs and medicines can now be paid for using an FSA or HSA
without a doctor's prescription. In addition, menstrual care products are now considered
a qualified medical expense under an FSA or HSA.
Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts
If you recently switched to work-from-home status and no longer have a need for the
Dependent Care FSA benefits, you may be able to make changes to this benefit.
401(k)
Eligible participants may request penalty-free distributions of up to $100,000 for
qualifying coronavirus-related reasons. These distributions have special terms that
make them more favorable than normal hardship withdrawals.
