Faculty Member Argues Before Supreme Court
Professor Edward Maggio, JD, M.Sc. is part of a legal team that argued in front of the
Supreme Court in February. His law group represented the plaintiffs – those killed or
injured in the 1998 terrorist bombings of the U.S. Embassies in Tanzania and Kenya – in
their case against the Sudanese government, which was found complicit in the
bombings. In May, the Supreme Court ruled in their favor, paving the way for the victims
to seek restitution from Sudan. The court's opinion can be found online. Read Professor
Maggio's description about the case on the NCU blog.
