Participants' open-ended responses were reviewed and consolidated. Some of the positive comments
indicated the symposium was engaging, informative, and the discussion on diversity, equity, and inclu-
sion was well received.
I am just as always blown away by the forward motion that NCU takes, how mindful everybody is
about what can improve, what we should and can do as faculty, course design collaborators, and just
as members of this community. – Part-time psychology faculty
Alternatively, other comments indicated that participants wished to have an agenda, department
breakouts, and opportunities to engage with PAC members.
It was disappointing not to have time with our department and PAC. We get very little time with the
PAC and it seems like we're missing out on their expertise. – Full-time MFT faculty
Participants also listed ideas of additional diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) topics to cover in
future meetings.
The results of the survey were presented to the SSBS administrative team on September 10, 2020.
The department chairs agreed to hold a future faculty focus meeting as separate departments. The
suggested DEI topics were shared with administrative liaisons for the SSBS Diversity Committee and
the SSBS Faculty Development Committee to take back to their respective committees.
