Our Gift to Our Communities
As 2020 ended, I found myself more grateful than ever for the NCU community. We tried something new to celebrate our
faculty and staff last year, and we were proud to make donations to 74 different charitable organizations on your behalf.
If you missed it, here is a list of all the nonprofits that received donations.
We appreciate everyone sharing their personal relationships with so many incredible organizations. Here are a few of
things you shared about the organizations you chose:
• I wish someone I loved (and will always love) had used a resource such as the American Foundation for
Suicide Prevention.
• Arizona Humane Society provides support to pet owners, helping them find alternatives to surrender in
these difficult COVID times.
• Avenuesforyouth help youths overcome homelessness. Homelessness is a big challenge in my community,
and youths are most vulnerable during this period in their lives.
• I know how badly teachers need the support that DonorsChoose.org makes possible!
• I greatly admire the work the Equal Justice Initiative does and believe overturning wrongful convictions and
working to prevent future wrongful convictions is incredibly important.
• The Treasure Valley YMCA has innovated to bring health and wellbeing to my community during the
pandemic, and it always maintains the expectation that no one is turned away due to an inability to pay.
• I donated to the Wounded Warrior Project because those that gave the most often get the least.
