It has been an exceptionally positive experience to be an online doctoral student at Northcentral University (NCU). I am a scholar in the Doctor of Philosophy and Psychology (Specialization: Gender Diversity) program and affiliated with The National Society of Leadership and Success. The educational expertise acquired while pursuing this degree has challenged me immensely and encouraged dynamic character development. It has been a source of great honor and pride to learn from gifted professors and fellow scholars. During my time at NCU, I have been combating numerous health challenges and hospitalizations. I feel confident that the hefty financial investment for this quality education will pay off by enabling me to be of more assistance to the masses through the behavioral sciences. I am grateful for the resources and the strength to persevere through the program. It is imperative that I continue to move beyond any obstacles that could hinder my academic success by remaining goal-oriented. I would like to remind students who are just starting out to practice substantial self-care. It is also important to develop healthy coping skills to balance stressors, academic responsibilities, and an active personal life. I encourage those who are struggling with life's challenges to prevail through their degree programs. The academic quest becomes more enjoyable when we are appreciative of educational privileges and integrating creativity to make the learning experience fun! Education is a priceless tool that bolsters the framework of any professional foundation. There are some hopeful signs for the coming year! To ease the burden of the public health crisis associated with the pandemic, many activities are transitioning to an online platform.
