7 SCHOOL OF SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES Dr. Kathryn Klock-Powell was elected to be the chair of the composite licensure board in the state of Georgia for marriage and family therapists, licensed professional counselors, and licensed social workers. SCHOOL OF HEALTH SCIENCES Assistant Program Director of Nursing Robin Geiger was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society for nursing. Director of Nursing Programs Alice Myers was elected to the New Jersey State Board of Education as a representative for Somers Point, NJ. She is serving on general board, as well as finance and negotiations committees. SCHOOL OF BUSINESS Professor Khaled Abdel Ghany published "Fundamental Analysis of GASB's New Financial Reporting Model" in the Tennessee CPA Journal - Jan/Feb. 2021 issue. Professor John Frame created a report with the nonprofit Chab Dai Coalition that explores similarities and differences between faith-based and non-faith-based anti-trafficking NGOs. The report can be found here. Professor Dereck Barr-Pulliam was named to the editorial board of the Journal of Information Systems, a high-quality accounting journal sponsored by the American Accounting Association.
