Specifically, faculty mentioned that they appreciated insights regarding the intentions behind the selected materials and the goal of the assignments: " This might sound silly – but I like hearing the creator's voice – what she was thinking. It is kind of like getting an extra perspective on the intentions of the assignments." " The guide allows me to understand the SME's thought process, focus and intention with the particular course and topic so that I can be mindful of those aspects as I am teaching the course and providing feedback based on course criteria." " Knowing the rationale or purpose of the assignment helps me understand the instructions better. It also makes it easier for me to communicate the purpose to the students. I can give them a heads up early in the week so that they can have the resources they need in order to be successful."
