As co-chairs of the NCU Psychological Association, we are pleased to bring
you the NCUPA Fall Bulletin. In this issue, we continue to focus on the theme of
professional development. As teachers and psychologists, it is our greatest desire
to see our students develop into professionals who engage in ethical activities that
support — and even improve — their communities. While some aspects of being a
professional might seem obvious, many attributes are learned from mentors and
colleagues in the field. In this issue, you will find rich information about professional
development from our co-chair, Dr. Rieder; our new student editor, April Bandy-
Taylor; and students Terry Adam Stewart and Georgina Kalwak. Amanda Bezet
shares information about the library, Dr. Mull introduces herself to students, and Dr.
Shapira shares department updates.
On June 23, we hosted a webinar titled "Developing as a Professional in
Psychology" with Dr. Jameca Falconer, PhD. Dr. Falconer discussed her experiences
developing as a professional in her career and building her CV in a variety of
areas. If you would like to review the video of this webinar, please view it on the
NCUPA Libguide.
The NCUPA is YOUR association, so we invite, request, and hope you will send in
your ideas of how to make the Association more responsive to YOUR interests and
needs. Please also reach out if you are interested in submitting an essay or interview
for our next bulletin. Our email is ncupa@ncu.edu. Our Facebook page is https://
