7 Self-Care in the Age of COVID-19 (FREE COURSE) This introductory course offers self-care ideas and strategies for engaging in self-care in the unique context of the COVID-19 pandemic and other stressors that have occurred alongside it. Students will learn about how current events have heightened the risk for healthcare and mental health providers to experience compassion fatigue and ambiguous loss, warranting the need for unique considerations for self-care. The information, strategies, and self-care ideas covered in this course will support mental health providers in ensuring their practice during this unique time continues to be ethical. Foundations of Supervision The Foundations of Supervision introductory course is a six-credit- hour foundational course for clinical supervisors. The course is broken up into six individual models that address the myriad aspects of supervision training: the basics of supervision, characteristics of quality supervisors, administrative expectations of supervisors, models of supervision, therapist development, and supervision challenges. The Foundations of Supervision course provides an understanding of the process of supervision, the expectations of supervisors, and a deeper understanding of the supervision process. Exploring Legal, Ethical, and Professional Aspects of Clinical Practice Throughout this continuing education workshop, participants will receive clinical practice training, including updates and changes to ethical and legal expectations and mandates. This information will be covered throughout six modules and includes quizzes, concluding with a final exam to test your understanding of the material. Mental health professionals will have an opportunity to explore complex and particularly muddy ethical and legal issues. This will assist you in using your clinical judgment and competencies when deciding on ethical and legal courses of action. This online course is useful for currently licensed professionals and will be taught as an intermediate course as it exceeds the Board of Psychology's ethics and law requirement and the Board of Behavioral Science's mandated six-hour ethics and law update requirement.
