ABOUT LOCAL SUPERVISORS
In every course, students are asked to reflect on how their supervisors support them in the development of
specific competencies as indicated by NCU Student Learning Outcomes and AAMFT Core
Competencies. Specifically, students reflect on support to help them:
1. Employ competence in working with diverse populations in clinical settings.
2. Apply family systems-oriented clinical skills across a variety of contexts.
3. Contrast family systems theory-oriented models of therapy.
4. Formulate decision-making processes for ethical dilemmas congruent with the
AAMFT Code of Ethics.
From the beginning of September 2021 until mid-March 2022, 593 evaluations of local supervisors
were completed by interns. Here are the results on each Learning Outcome identified below:
