Honolulu, Hawaii. (Dad was in the military.) Where did you go to college? Rick's College (AA-Psychology); Brigham Young University (BA-Psychology); Pacific Lutheran University (MA-Marriage and Family Therapy); Loma Linda University (PhD-Marriage and Family Therapy) Who was your favorite professor and why? Dr. Matt Riggs, my statistics professor in my PhD program. He was an absolutely brilliant person, but yet one of the most humble people you could ever meet. While most of the professors in my doctoral program wore suites and ties, he typically wore blue jeans and a T-shirt. He took an incredibly hard course/subject and made it interesting, understandable, and applicable. What did you want to be when you grew up? Assuming your referring to when I was a child, because I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, I wanted to either be a jet pilot ("Top Gun" came out when I was a kid) or a marine biologist. I loved the water and sea/ocean life. What is your favorite food? Either a tender, juicy steak or a Pizza Hut deep-pan meat lovers' pizza. What is your favorite movie? Depends on my mood, but on the top of my list would be "Remember the Titans," and "Princess Bride." If you could have any super power, what would it be? To fly. What are you most proud of? My four children and wonderful wife, or, in other words, being a father and husband. Q&A
