As you know, we had our annual Commencement ceremony on Saturday, July 8 in Phoenix. Graduation is traditionally a time for both celebration and reflection. Each graduate has dedicated a significant part of his or her life to educational greatness through perseverance and hard work. This year was the largest graduation for the University yet. During the past year, the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences has graduated more than 270 students, with about 60% in PSY and 40% in MFS. We had just more than 100 of these graduates join us in Phoenix to celebrate their achievement. These graduates and their families will forever be changed because of their hard work, dedication, and the support and guidance provided by you, the faculty. Meeting with students in person and seeing them graduate helps to remind us why we do what we do. We are changing people's lives. Not only their lives, but the lives of their families. While at graduation, I had a student approach me and share that deciding to enroll at NCU was the best decision of her life. She now has a graduate degree, a full-time job offer, and a career. Congratulations to all of our graduates on their achievements, and thanks to each of you for helping them achieve their goals! At the NCU Faculty Symposium held July 5 - 7, faculty awards were announced. There were three University-level awards and four School-level awards. The SSBS faculty/staff who received these awards are listed below. Congratulations and thanks to each for their contributions to NCU and all they do!
