Welcome to Northcentral University's School of Social
and Behavioral Sciences (SSBS). Our School provides
you and other professionals throughout the world with
accessible education opportunities to acquire the
knowledge, skills, and values integral to individuals
within the social and behavioral sciences.
SSBS is composed of two departments - the
Department of Marriage and Family Sciences and the
Department of Psychology. Our programs are
designed to meet the highest standards in these fields.
The Department of Marriage and Family Sciences
offers doctoral, master's and post-graduate certificate
programs, while the Department of Psychology offers
doctoral, master's, bachelor completion and
post-graduate certificate programs.
Programs in SSBS prepare you to pursue a variety of
career options. Our alumni work in many settings
including government agencies, private practice,
nonprofits, hospitals, military, universities, and public
school systems. We continually update courses to
remain current with the ever-changing challenges of
working in the social and behavioral sciences field.
We utilize a unique one-to-one learning model where
you will be mentored in each course by a doctoral
professor who has walked the path that you are on
now, and can share insights during your exciting
academic journey. I invite you to explore the
