Transition to NCUOne During the transition, several courses across the programs were updated with the help of content SMEs and the ID team to make courses more engaging and interactive. Proprietary Content Development This project involved the development of proprietary content that will be integrated into courses. The purpose of the project was to enrich the curriculum with interactive engaging materials that enhance students' educational experience. Full time and adjunct faculty were involved as content experts. New content was developed for both psychology and MFS Master's and PhD level programs. Faculty developed lectures and textbooks. We were also able to create and film several model specific role-plays as well as role-plays illustrating systems theory concepts, and film several discussion panels addressing History of the MFT field, Issues of Diversity, and Systems Concepts. Some lectures were audio recorded and for some interactive animations were created. New Research Sequence A new research course sequence was developed for both Departments and new courses will go live in 2018. Highlights from 2017 in Curriculum Development Yulia Watters, PhD | Curriculum Director, SSBS Major/Minor Revisions and New Courses Major and minor revisions were completed to transition some courses from a 12-week to 8-week format, align courses with a new edition of a text, or to update courses. In the MAMFT program, new courses were created to offer the content that was previously offered only in PhD level courses. A Prospectus course was launched in the psychology department to allow students to be better prepared for the dissertation process. New Programs A program outline was developed for the new MSW (Masters in Social Work) and the program is scheduled to be launched in 2018. A Master's level Educational Psychology program is also scheduled to be launched in 2018. New Process for SME Work Subject Matter Expert (SME) training is now a requirement prior to starting curriculum work. SMEs collaborating closely with the ID team starting with a kick-off meeting for each course, developing a timeline, and meeting new course requirements. Thank you for all your help making the SSBS curriculum engaging, rich, and interesting for our students. Without your hard work and expertise it would not be possible! If you have not been involved in curriculum development and are interested in serving as a SME (subject matter expert) or learning more about the process, please contact me: ywatters@ncu.edu. Thank you!
