2 | Welcome | NCU Faculty Handbook WELCOME TO NORTHCENTRAL UNIVERSITY (NCU) Dear NCU Faculty, Congratulations. As a member of the faculty team at Northcentral University, you are part of an exciting and innovative educational enterprise. Northcentral University is a rewarding place to teach, in part because of our distinctive one-to-one, online model that we offer our students. Northcentral pursues its mission directly through your teaching efforts. It is exciting to be a part of a learning community that is growing through the addition of new students, implementation of new programs, and design of new processes to make high quality academic programs accessible throughout the world. Whether you are a part-time or a full-time faculty member, you will make a vital contribution to the lives of our students. Faculty engagement with students is a central tenet of the teaching experience at NCU. Similarly, the development and presentation of authentic curriculum sits at the academic heart of our University. Our students depend on your expertise and commitment to engage, support, and connect with them as they pursue their academic goals. As such, Northcentral University fosters policies and practices that celebrate your academic credentials and help to promote your continued research, scholarship, and professional development. The Northcentral University Faculty Handbook serves as your guide to the University's faculty related policies, practices, and other relevant information. I personally wish you every success as part of the Northcentral University team. If there is any way that my Office, the Office of Academic Affairs, or the Deans' offices can be of assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact us. Dr. David Harpool Provost and Legal Council
