Department Updates Bettina Shapira, PhD | Chair, Department of Psychology Hi Everyone, I hope you are having a great start to the year! It is again time for Department updates. I am sure you are aware that last year in the Department of Psychology we were working on creating engaging curriculum. This year we are working on integrating this interesting and innovative content into different courses. We created textbooks accompanied by weekly lectures, different themed lectures that we narrated and are now in the process of being animated, and PowerPoint lectures that systematically demonstrate, for example, data input in SPSS. Unfortunately, we do not have a completed project yet to share with you, but we are very close. Stay tuned! I want to welcome Dr. Daniel Pitchford as a full-time professor to the Department of Psychology. Daniel holds a PhD in Psychology from Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center. He was previously a full-time dissertation chair in the Graduate School as well as in the School of Business. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Pitchford! With a lot of excitement and a bit of pride, I am announcing we will soon have our first student in a non-clinical internship in forensic psychology. This is very exciting! As you can imagine, there is much to do before we assign a student to an internship course. During their internship preparation process, as well as the internship course, students receive support from field-specific Internship Coordinators and their Academic and Finance Advisors. We have processes and systems in place that support the internship preparation process and the tracking of documents and internship hours. To give you some idea about the preparation and tracking processes, below is a list of material available to students.
