MASTER'S PROGRAM
Master of Science in Instructional Design
Northcentral University's Master of Science in
Instructional Design program will help students
learn how to apply instructional design theory
to the creation of learning and training materials.
This includes hands-on experience in planning,
analysis, development and project management.
Upon graduation, students will be prepared to
take on a range of roles across multiple sectors
including areas such as education, business
and manufacturing.
Students will learn the fundamentals of
instructional design, how to analyze the
needs of learners and how to develop powerful
and engaging learning materials. Additionally,
students will explore design principles for
multimedia learning and get valuable hands-on
experience. This includes completing a digital
portfolio to showcase the skills they have
developed throughout the program.
This program is designed to align with instruc-
tional design competencies including those
established by the International Board of
Standards for Training, Performance and
Improvement

Talent Development (ATD) and the Association
for Educational Communication and Technology
(AECT).
