On how research-collaborations are also networking Dr. Carissa Smock It continues to be very valuable for me to be a part of a research team with similar research lines and goals. A colleague at Kent State University attended my dissertation defense and afterward we talked about how much our interests, strengths, and weaknesses could support our shared goals. Within the next month, we were working together on a grant proposal, presentations, manuscripts, and working to grow our clinical and park partnerships. We continue to do this work today through weekly check-ins that hold us accountable while remaining flexible. That first grant was rejected, but we are now working with the extremely helpful support of the many involved at NCU (a special thank you to Dr. Becky Collins!) and look forward to continuing our efforts together with our growing team. Susan Petroshius, PhD, serves on the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Marketing Education. John Frame, PhD, MPA, ThM, MDiv, Associate Director of Faculty Support and Development, had an article recently published in the International Journal of Public Administration, titled, "A Comparative Exploration of the Motivational Factors of Faith- Based and Secular NGOs and Their Actors in Cambodia." Furthermore, he's wrapping up a year-long research project on local faith- based nonprofits and the work of religious communities responding to modern slavery and human trafficking in the Global South. A report and policy brief will be published this Fall by the Joint Learning Initiative on Faith & Local Communities, an organization that promotes research and learning about the work of faith-based nonprofits and religious communities around the world. Joe DiRenzo III, PhD, published "AI & Machine Learning Force Multipliers for Coast Guard Missions?" in the Maritime Reporter and Engineering News, pages 18-19. Edward Maggio, JD, published "False Redemption: How Sudan Continues to Avoid Responsibility for Terrorism" in the Journal for Counterterrorism and Homeland Security International, pages 20-25. Edward Maggio also authored "Vietnam Can Surpass China: It Needs Blockchain UPDATES 10 Faculty
