1. Connect
a. Connect with your site to identify their policies and
procedures around health emergencies and/or public
health concerns.
b. Connect with your supervisor on how to talk with clients
regarding your site's protocols that may impact services,
their fears, concerns, and/or questions. In instances where
your supervisor of record is off-site, it is important to share
site policies and procedures with the supervisor.
c. Connect with your NCU faculty about any questions you
may have related to this experience (e.g., client concerns,
your own concerns, etc.).
2. Consume reputable information
It is easy to find information, but not all information is accurate.
Just like you are encouraged to find scholarly resources for
assignments, you will want to look for appropriate sources of
information. Government websites in particular will have the most
up-to-date and accurate information. Sources like the Center for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health
Organization (WHO) are examples of reputable sources. Here
are links to their pages devoted to COVID-19:

3. Clinical Adjustment Request
As supervisors, as sites, cities, and states continue to respond
to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are mindful that your clinical
sites may be impacted in different ways. If your site will be
implementing changes (e.g., temporary closure, moving to
tele-therapy for some clients, etc.) please CLICK HERE (COVID-19
MFT Clinical Adjustment Requests) to allow us to track these
changes and collect the necessary documentation needed.
