Hi everyone,
I hope everyone is well and healthy!
I have all of you and your families in my thoughts.
Instead of sharing Department updates this quarter, I want to share something
personal and important to me. About two month ago, Yulia said to me that she
was reading a book that she thought I might like. The book is "The Boy, The Mole,
The Fox and The Horse" by Charlie Mackesy. Oh boy, I don't only like the book; I
love it. The book is full of inspirational thoughts and reflections. Thank you, Yulia!
With the current coronavirus crisis on most everyone's mind, it is my hope that
by the time you read this, we are already through the worst. I wanted to take
the opportunity to share some of Charlie Mackery's work. His work touches me
profoundly, helps me to focus on the important things in life, and also puts a
smile on my face. I think we all can use this.
