Deepa Tanksale, PhD Adjunct Faculty, Department of Psychology Dr. Deepa Tanksale is an Adjunct Professor at NCU teaching the Prospectus Course, Tests and Measurements, Statistics, and Qualitative Techniques, and serves as a dissertation chair and SME. She earned her PhD in Psychology from University of Pune, India in the area of Subjective Wellbeing/Happiness. Deepa attended the University of Mumbai, Mumbai, India for her Master's in Counseling Psychology. She has an extensive teaching, research, and administrative experience. Deepa has been advising and facilitating students in their academic goals for nearly 22 years. She started her career as a Lecturer of Psychology 22 years ago in an undergraduate college in Mumbai, India. Before relocating to the United States, she worked as an Associate Professor at Symbiosis International University, Pune, India for eight years. In India, Deepa was also engaged as a counseling psychologist, working with children, college students, and adults, doing psychometric assessment, counseling, and therapy. Deepa is passionate about research and specializes in research methodology and quantitative techniques. Her scholarly interests are personality, employee well-being/happiness, leadership, organizational culture, life satisfaction, and emotional intelligence. She has taught psychology courses face-to-face as well as online. Besides teaching at NCU, Deepa also works as an adjunct faculty for The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Seminole State College of Florida. Deepa currently lives in St Paul, Minnesota with her husband and two beautiful kids (daughter, age 16, and son, age nine). Before coming to U.S. in 2013, she lived her entire life in Mumbai and Pune, India. When she is not teaching, Deepa likes to spend her time cooking, doing fun things with her kids, and hiking. She loves to learn new things (this winter she went skiing) and traveling to new places. Deepa is an avid reader of mostly nonfiction and an occasional blog writer. Her motto in life is "Explore, Experiment, and Experience." Deepa's scholarly interests are personality, employee well-being/happiness, leadership, organizational culture, life satisfaction, and emotional intelligence. 4
