9 • The University ACC collaborates with stakeholders to implement and continuously improve comprehensive assessment and curricular planning, development, and reporting for the University. • The University ACC proposes and accepts for review assessment and curriculum policies, practices, products, and tools related to the planning, production, and evaluation at the institutional level. • In addition, the University ACC reviews for appropriate rigor and scaffolding for new proposals and substantial revisions of programs, specializations, and certificates. • The University ACC reviews institution-wide assessment results at the University and degree program levels for the purpose of engaging in discussions and making recommendations related to continuous improvement efforts. • The University ACC reviews and recommends standards by which course, program, and institutional-level learning outcomes and descriptions are created and evaluated. The second policy, 201-1A-2 describes the creation of School Assessment and Curriculum Committees (ACC). The purpose of each School ACC is to work collaboratively to ensure that school-specific assessment and curriculum policies, practices, and products reflect the mission, vision, and values of the respective School and the University. The purview of each School ACC includes the assessment and curriculum practices and products of the individual School related to the development and revision of course learning outcomes (CLOs), course descriptions, course codes, and course concepts. School ACCs must operate within the broader policies, practices, and products established by the University ACC. Dean Billings stood up at the SSBS ACC in May, 2020. The committee is currently co-chaired by Director of Curriculum Yulia Watters and Director of Assessment Elaine Willerton. Members serving on the committee include Michelle Ackerman, Psychology; Valerie Radu, MSW Program Director; Lucas Volini, Marriage and Family Therapy. The committee meets twice monthly. A standing agenda item will be the review and approval of Course Learning Outcome Proposals (CLOPs). Additionally, some of our current initiatives are: • Formalize the curriculum development process for SSBS and create resources to support subject matter experts in the process • Increase faculty participation in review of Annual Assessment Reports and Program Reviews
