Northcentral University's International Journal of Online Graduate Education advances
knowledge of issues and best practices related to online graduate education across the
globe. The journal is free and open access to ensure that published research is readily
available to scholars and higher education stakeholders.
The journal provides a user-friendly, author-focused, responsive place to seek peer-
reviewed publication, with an average time from submission to publication of six weeks.
At the same time, IJOGE promotes quality in research, with a current acceptance rate
below 30%.
Researchers from around the globe are invited to submit papers. While visitors to the
journal site are primarily from North America, readership extends as far as China,
Russia, Brazil, India, South Africa, and many nations in Europe.
Reviewers hail from across the globe with
participants on all continents but Antarctica.
Past issues have highlighted topics such as doctoral student feedback, professional
development of graduate faculty, student experiences in the online environment,
structuring online courses, the development of learning communities for online graduate
students, as well as methodological insights for doctoral researchers. The current issue
focuses on virtual teams in online learning, coaching of online faculty, as well as tips for
faculty struggling to deal with the impacts of COVID-19 to migrate their teaching online.
