AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS
Brenda Stevenson-Marshall, content expert and part-time faculty for the MHA and
DHA programs, received the 2020 Lyndon Haviland Public Health Mentoring Award.
The award, given by the American Public Health Association, honors excellence in public
health leadership and innovation. Dr. Stevenson-Marshall was honored for her unwavering
support, encouragement, and passion in advocating for students and early-career
professionals, and for engaging and welcoming mentees among APHA membership.
Dr. Stevenson-Marshall's dedication to our students is evident as she mentors, supports,
and encourages our MHA and DHA students, as well as the School of Business students
taking their specialization courses with us. Through her passion for student success, she
helped one of our first MHA graduates receive job placement, advancing the graduate's
healthcare leadership career.
