Register for a Group Writing Session If you will be working with human subjects, you will need to write eligibility criteria, recruitment materials, and a consent letter for your study. We have daily group writing sessions to help you prepare these materials and meet IRB requirements. Half of the session time is also set aside to give you direct feedback on your materials! Even if you haven't drafted your materials yet, you can still learn from watching others receive feedback. We also offer a group writing session that shows you how to register for an account in IRBManager, start a new IRB application, and complete each section and question in the application. Each group writing session has a maximum of six attendees and requires registration. You can attend these sessions as many times as you would like. For more information, visit our Group Writing Sessions page. Attend or Watch a Webinar The IRB hosts regular Friday webinars through the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). In a webinar, you can learn about IRB-related topics and submit questions to be answered by IRB staff. Most recently, we had a series of Webinars on building surveys in Qualtrics, and Charlene Sutton presented in full pirate gear. To register for a webinar or watch past webinars, visit our Webinars page. Attend Office Hours Have you reviewed our resources and still have questions? IRB staff are available to answer questions Monday through Friday during Office Hours. No registration is needed, and you can enter or leave at any time. To view daily times and find the Zoom Meeting information, visit the Office Hours page on our website. Email or Chat You can always contact us by emailing irb@ncu.edu or chatting us on the IRB website. When emailing, please include your faculty chair/mentor on your email and provide specific details about your study so that IRB staff can answer your question. 13 The Psychology Bulletin
