14 The Psychology Bulletin Hi everyone and Happy Fall! Here are the Fall updates for the Department of Psychology. On October 5th the Post Bachelor Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis went live. For us this is a very unique certificate because it has 7 courses, while all other Post Bachelor Certificates have 4 courses. We decided to offer such a lengthy Post Bachelor Certificate, because with this certificate students who have a qualifying master's degree can sit for the Applied Behavior Analysis exam and become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), once they also completed all the required clinical hours. This is a great opportunity for professionals who, for example, have a master's degree in education to further their career and work, for example, with children with autistic spectrum disorder. This is very exciting and was only possible because of the work and support from Dr. Melinda Docter. Another exciting development is that in addition to our two program coordinators, Dr. Melinda Docter and Dr. Grayson Kimball, we now have program leads for all psychology programs. Program leads will be involved in assisting with strategic oversight, operational plans, and assessment of their programs. In addition, they will suggest improvements, and participate in overseeing curriculum projects, amongst others. The new program leads are listed below. Dr. Mary Streit, Master of Art Psychology specialization General PSY and Gender and Sexual Fluidity Dr. Pam MacDonald, Master of Science in Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychology Dr. Joel Goodin, Master of Science in Educational Psychology Dr. Lindsay Wright, Master of Science in Forensic Psychology Dr. Maria Rodriguez, Master of Science in Health Psychology Dr. Lisa Teeter, Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology Dr. Michelle Ackerman, PhD psychology I hope all of you are staying safe and I hope you are enjoying your studies. My best, Dr. Bettina Shapira DEPARTMENT UPDATES Bettina Shapira, PhD Teaching Through Engagement
