Updates from Across the University:
The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) conducted a virtual accreditation site visit evaluation for
the MSN and DNP programs in the School of Health Sciences on February 8 - 10. The CCNE is scheduled to provide
feedback by April 8. The final decision to accredit the programs will occur in the fall of 2021, and, if successful, the
programs will be retroactively accredited from February 10.
The School of Social and Behavioral Sciences' PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy program received their site visit
report from their programmatic accreditor, COAMFTE. The report confirmed what was shared during the exit interview:
the program met every standard, and the site visitors were able to verify everything the commission asked them to
review. We could not be more pleased with the results of the self-study and the site visit report. We await, with great
anticipation, the final decision from the commission in May 2021. They also indicated they have never met a group of
happier faculty and students.
The Master of Social Work program will be hosting its third and final candidacy site visit with programmatic
accreditor, Council on Social Work Education, on May 25, 2021.
