PACE was established in January of this year with a mission to provide affordable course offerings and
workshops on relevant and cutting-edge professional development topics taught and designed by
leading practitioners. PACE is an approved provider for graduate-level social workers, therapists,
counselors (National Board for Certified Counselors), nurses (California Board of Registered Nursing),
and post-doctoral level psychologists (American Psychological Association). The center also offers
courses in other subject areas that include Inclusive Leadership, Leading Virtual Teams (Human Resources
Certification Institute credit), and Social and Emotional Intelligence.
Since its inauguration, PACE has launched 17 asynchronous courses, hosted five live webinars, and
sponsored three in-person sessions. The center has had 284 enrollments to date with positive feedback
received:
• Licensed Mental Health Professional: "It was engaging, interactive, and very informative."
• Certified Doctor: "Valuable information for those who want to know more about COVID."
• Credentialed K-12 Educator: "The information provided in this course was interesting
and helpful."
Courses dealing with mental health topics are approved for continuing education credit by the American
Psychological Association (APA) and National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC).
APA and NBCC approvals mean PACE courses meet high standards for content and allow mental health
professionals to earn the continuing education and professional development credits they need for
licensing.
Popular APA and NBCC approved courses include:
• Ethical Situations and Supervision
• Law and Ethics in Clinical Supervision: Combined
• Telesupervision
• Supervision and Cultural Humility
• SPECIAL: 15-Hour Clinical Supervision Training for $75 ($56.25 with NCU_Family voucher
code and use with NCU email address)
