F A L L 2 0 21 – I S S U E 8 15 "I am always impressed by the knowledge and feedback of my supervisor as he assists me in getting better as a therapist. I am enthused to work more when he offers information on my processes, relational patterns, role as a therapist, and the impact I can have in the therapeutic relationship." "[Supervisor] has done a great job at helping me through supervision. She makes sure to go above and beyond in order to understand cultural awareness and is sensitive to minority issues. We have special discussions, and I am challenged by the research articles she provides. [She] is always helping me find new perspectives while leaning into the self of the therapist." "I have had the awesome opportunity to work with [Supervisor] for almost a year. She has been consistent in advocating for me to ensure that I meet the cumulative hour requirements needed for graduation. She has also made certain that any miscommunications, non- comprehensions, or mistakes made are cleared through confronting the issues before it gets out of control. I appreciate her supervision and concern for me meeting all of my requirements." "[Supervisor] has allowed for autonomy at his practice in regards to times available to schedule clients, which has been helpful as a mom with kiddos during COVID. There was complete flexibility of virtual or in-office. If I ever had a question about how to approach a client's situation, he had a lot to offer in terms of models and theories I did not learn in school. I found that information valuable and read a lot of books over the last year." Dr. Kerry N., 2017 Graduate
