Faculty Senate News
• NCU Faculty Senate hosted the annual Faculty Assembly on September 16, 2021. Faculty attended
virtually and on-site in Nashville, Tennessee.
• 2021-22 Senate year started in October. Annual Senate elections were held in September, and new
Senators began their terms in October.
• Senate involvement in the Transformation: Senators have been involved with the Transformation in many ways,
participating widely in the 155 Initiative Workstreams and providing input regarding faculty needs and impacts.
• Three NCU senators are serving on the Transformation Faculty Advisory Committee.
• One senator participated in the WSCUC (WASC) review call.
• Please contact your senator with any questions or concerns. We encourage all faculty to stay informed
by watching NCU Unscripted. We also encourage you to share your input or volunteer directly with
the Transformation Office.
• Inaugural NCU Academic Excellence Delphi Award recipients were announced at the Faculty Symposium.
These part-time faculty members were selected due to their commitment to the success of NCU students by
going above and beyond in their roles and engagement with students. See the press release for background
information on how NCU was awarded the Delphi grant and determined how to use the funds.
