What are you currently doing for your internship?
Currently I am with a high school baseball team.
How did you locate your internship?
I went through a month or two of sending out emails and my resume to every sports club and team at every
age and skill range local to me. I did that until I had some responses and interviews about what I am looking
to do as an intern, and this high school team was excited to bring me on.
What is the best part about your internship or the most valuable thing you
have learned?
Through having an internship, I am truly learning how to apply and speak to athletes on the subjects I have
studied. I have been able to learn how to add myself into a program as an asset and communicate my
knowledge well to the athletes, and see them pick these new skills up and improve.
What advice would you give other students who may be considering
an internship?
To anyone considering an internship, I would say just to go for it. Getting the hands-on field experience is
going to have the biggest impact and be the biggest learning opportunity for you. It does take a lot of time
and effort to find a location and be accepted but it is worth all of that in the end.
