Prior to earning her PhD from NCU, she earned her Master of Social Work degree
from the University of Cincinnati and her Bachelor of Social Work degree from
Ashland University.
She has nearly 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples, children,
and families.
For the past 10 years, she has owned and operated a private practice as a Florida
Supreme Court Certified Mediator and Qualified Parent Coordinator for the 7th
Judicial Circuit, servicing parents involved in high conflict divorce and high conflict
relationships.
She is pleased to use her degree teaching a variety of courses. She has taught such
courses as Medical Family Therapy; Families in Crisis; Cultural Diversity, Gender,
and Family Development; and Systemic Sex Therapy. She has prior teaching
experience as an Adjunct Instructor at Bethune Cookman University where she
developed and taught a high conflict resolution course for undergraduate students
as a part of their Restorative Justice Program.
Her focus now is on teaching long-term as she has worked in many areas
regarding children and families, and she would like to use her education and
experience to enhance the field of Social Work and Marriage and Family
Therapy by sharing that knowledge with other professionals who will be able to
reach more children and families.
She lives in Central Florida with her husband, two beautiful daughters, and furry,
friendly pet pal.
