7 For example, Bob's motto for meetings was that the best meeting is no longer than 15 minutes, preferably over the phone and not on camera. As you know, James is very different. His motto is: let's jump on camera, and if the meeting is 2 hours or longer, great. This was a little bit of a culture shock for the Psychology Department. "...we are looking forward to new opportunities, new growth, new experiences and to an equally good or even more exciting ride." I will miss working and hanging out with the MFT and MSW teams! Over the years, I learned to appreciate James' leadership and leadership style very much. James, you really brought us together while keeping space for individual identities. Here is a statement a psychology faculty member shared: "the leadership shown by Dr. Billings in making us all feel a part of the group and the way that we have always been treated as a valued department. I wholeheartedly agree. I truly appreciate the years we had together. I treasure the opportunity to have gotten to know the MFT team and to have worked and grown with you. I call some of your friends, and I've learned from all of you. All in all, I would say it was a great ride and now we are looking forward to new opportunities, new growth, new experiences, and to an equally good - or even more exciting ride.
