Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education COAMFTE The percentage of 2013 Post-Course Survey* respondents who "strongly agree" or "agree" with the indicated statement about the School of Marriage and Family Sciences. *Of the 44,584 courses completed by students between 1/1/13 and 12/31/13, a total of 27,715 post-course surveys were completed. Although not guaranteed, we hope to achieve full COAMFTE accreditation in 2015 for the doctoral degree in MFT. NCU has the first and only program—PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy—approved to offer the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Approved Supervision course in a distance-based format. 16 Student Satisfaction MFT Faculty Over 300 years of combined experience teaching in the field of MFT. Over 450 years of combined experience as Marriage and Family Therapists. Local Clinical Training As an MFT student, you'll be able to secure clinical placement in your local community to complete your practicum and/or internship, so you can complete your entire degree without ever leaving your local community. Licensure Preparation NCU's COAMFTE-accredited and Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) -approved Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy program is designed to prepare you to sit for your MFT licensing exam. In many states, graduating from a COAMFTE-accredited program will greatly facilitate the licensure process although there is no guarantee.
