28 22 Dr. Barry Chametzky (PhD, 2013) presented his guest lecture "A Primer to Online (E-) Learning" at Washington & Jefferson College. Dr. Hazar Shehadeh (PhD, 2013) published her paper "Distance Education Efficacy on Biology Education at the Higher Education Level" in the International Journal of Technologies in Learning. EdD candidate Deborah Kravchuck was named one of the inaugural New York State Master Teachers, and was a semifinalist for 2014 New York State Teacher of the Year. Dr. Rebecca Collins (PhD, 2013) presented her dissertation findings (NCU's 2013 Dissertation of the Year) at the Wisconsin Council of Administrators of Special Services spring conference. School of Psychology Dr. Kirby Reutter (PhD, 2012) co-authored "Religiosity and Spirituality as Resiliency Resourc- es: Moderation, Mediation or Moderated Mediation," which was published in the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion. Dr. Cynthia Lofaso (PhD, 2011) co-authored "Individual Character- istics and Self-Perceived Burden in Cancer Patients," which was published in Current Psychology. Dr. Hope Morrow (PhD, 2011) co-authored "The Effects of Mortality Salience and Conceptual Focus in CISM Providers: Implica- tions for Mental Health Response to Mass Fatality Disasters," which was published in the International Journal of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Lisa Kurth (PhD, 2008) co-authored "Perinatal Pitocin as an Early ADHD Biomarker: Neurode- velopmental Risk?," which was published in the Journal of Atten- tion Disorders. Dr. Cyd Skinner (PhD, 2013) presented a poster session based on her dissertation "Gender and Language in Best-selling Children's Picture Books: Who Gets to Speak" at the Association for Psychological Science's Annual Convention in Washington, DC. PhD student James Cawood was appointed to the editorial board of the Journal of Threat Assessment and Management for a five-year term. School of Marriage and Family Sciences Doctoral student, Kim McBride, LMFT, was named the 2013 Washington Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Educator of the Year. Alumna, Jessica Simons (MA-MFT, 2012), LMFT, started Simons Counseling SA, providing therapy services in Texas. Alumna Dr. Laurie Ferguson (2012), LMFT and AAMFT Approved Supervisor, is the Founder of Laurie Ferguson & Associates in Wisconsin. Alumnus Rich Gallagher (MA-MFT, 2012) is a licensed practitioner in the State of New York and is an active author and public speaker. Alumna Dr. Stephanie Steele (PhD, 2013), LMFT, hosted a one-day workshop for couples at Vista Counseling & Consultation. Anthony Morris, LMFT (ADC) a NCU MFT doctoral student, presented at the 20th Annual National TASC Conference (Treatment Accountability for Safer Communities).
