I believe the greatest strength our University has is the engagement and relationship between our students and the highly qualified faculty/professors mentoring each course. NCU's unique one-to-one model allows for personalized feedback to each student, each week, throughout their courses. In the last newsletter, I briefly mentioned the efforts currently in process to move our programs to a completely new classroom. This new Learning Management System (LMS), called NCUOne, brings with it even more tools and resources to help connect students and faculty, and provide more personalized teaching. The use of seamless audio and video feedback tools is just one example of how this new platform can support increased engagement between students and faculty, as well as create new opportunities for teaching and mentoring of students. As we prepare to move into this new environment, we are also investing a significant amount of time and resources to improving the curriculum, James Billings, PhD | Dean, SSBS STUDENT/FACULTY ENGAGEMENT making assignments more engaging and aligned with current trends in the field, and using more faculty created content. Although the move to NCUOne will take a few month to complete, the efforts to complete a major uplift to our course design and curriculum will occur over a much longer period of time. I'm grateful to the University for the significant investment of time, resources, and funds to make it possible to improve the academic experience for students and faculty. As we prepare for another step forward, I want to take a moment to recognize and thank those faculty who have worked hard over the many years integrating student feedback and creating the high-quality programs we have today. As with any change, there will be lessons learned and time needed to adjust. As we move into this new environment, I would encourage students, faculty, and staff to continue to provide feedback on their experience so we can make any necessary adjustments. NCU
