Time management strategies, for ourselves (Emily's entry)
and our students (Mary's entry), are such valuable tools.
Faculty and students in online settings need to be self-directed
since it is entirely up to us to structure our own work in order
to meet our weekly deadlines. I find I have stretches of time
where I do very well with time management, and then I might
fall into a bit of a slump. This is likely true for our students as
well. Therefore, occasional reminders about useful strategies
are really helpful, and taking the time to reflect on what is
working well for us, and what isn't, is important. Thank you,
Emily and Mary, for sharing your ideas and strategies!
Do you have a teaching approach, strategy, or suggestion you
think others would find useful? Please share! You can send
your ideas to me (mmull@ncu.edu), and I would be happy to
include them in an upcoming faculty newsletter. Thanks!
