Historically, each school at NCU has adopted their own practices for completing the APRs. For
several years the SSBS APRs have been completed by the school Assessment Director and
approved by Program Directors, Department Chairs and the Dean.
In an effort to increase involvement of faculty in the assessment cycle faculty will begin playing a
more active role in the completion of the APRs. Early in 2018 an APR team will be assembled for
each program. With guidance from the Assessment Director the teams will complete the APR
documentation. The faculty teams will then present their findings to stakeholders at the summer
symposium. Ideally the feedback from these presentations can be incorporated into action plans.
The goal of these new procedures is closing the loop to demonstrate how past initiatives have
supported or improved processes and elicit insights about how further changes may be helpful for
continued program improvement.
