NCU Faculty Handbook | Faculty Non-Teaching Roles and Responsibilities | 39 Breakout Presentations at Symposium The CTL sponsors breakout sessions at the annual Faculty Symposium. Faculty are encouraged to submit proposals to present a breakout session. Breakout sessions are also offered as webinars apart from the annual Symposium. All faculty are encouraged to present or to attend and participate. The CTL sends out a call for proposals 3 months prior to Symposium. Creating Resources Faculty are encouraged to create new resources and contribute to existing resources available to students. Academic resources for students can be found in the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Academic Success Center. Faculty who want to get involved in creating and updating resources can contact the CTL team. Serving on Committees The University has a variety of committees that contribute to University governance. Faculty can participate by actively serving on these committees. Faculty who wish to participate on a committee should communicate with their respective school leadership in order to get involved and learn about available opportunities. Faculty interested in presenting or providing suggestions for future webinar topics should email CTL@ncu.edu.
